Established in 2016, JH Joinery and Construction has gone from strength to strength. We have transformed a diverse range of commercial, community and residential environments over the years and strive to deliver an exceptional joinery and construction service to all our clients.
Our success is down to our highly professional, qualified and passionate team who all share the same values that our family business is built on… these being reliability, honesty and trust. Jordan Horrocks
Director
Jordan Horrocks
Jordan founded JH Joinery and Construction in 2016 following years of experience working in the construction industry. He developed a passion for joinery from the age of 14 after helping to build his Grandad’s house.
His dedication and commitment to the business has been fundamental to the company’s growth and success. And being a family man with 3 young children and a dog, family values and a team spirit remain at the heart of the business.
When he’s not working or looking after his young family, Jordan is keen to keep active and thrives on challenges, having recently completed the Pennine Barrier 50 mile ultra marathon, and mountaineering up the Grand Paradiso in Italy!
Milo Horrocks
Commercial Manager
Milo Horrocks
Milo’s role is focused on the commercial running of the business including compiling tenders, estimation and Health and Safety.
Milo joined the family business after teaching English in Annemasse and French for a short while on his return to the UK.
When he’s not at work or studying Milo loves family life, keeping busy and active looking after his young son and dog he is also kept busy studying for his post grad diploma in Quantity Surveying with the University of Northumbria.
Emma Allen
Accounts & Office Manager
Emma Allen
A recent addition to our team, Emma joined the JH family after years of experience working in a variety of industries (including legal conveyancing and fleet management, to name a few) in client facing roles. Emma is responsible for the challenging task of managing all the admin at head office and is the person you are most likely to speak to when you give us a call!
When she’s not at work Emma loves to go on holiday with her young family to warmer climates and keeps active by walking and going to the gym.
Zac Priestley
Project Manager
Zac Priestley
Zac joined JH as our team Project Manager in 2023. His role is to oversee our projects. He works closely with our clients and team to ensure everything is on track, running smoothly and will be delivered on time.
In his previous work life, Zac worked delivering Super Yachts and for a science organisation, where he was based in Antarctica for 3 years!
When he’s not project managing, Zac likes to mountain bike, having recently completed the 23 mile ‘Boltby Bash’ – his first big endurance race.
Ben Messenger

Ben Messenger
Following 3 years training at Brunell House, Ben has over 20 years’ experience, as a qualified joiner, working both in the UK and Australia.
He’s been a great asset to the JH team for a number of years now and in his spare time is an avid golfer as well as a keen traveller – having visited an amazing 30 countries just in the last 5 years!
Paul Philip

JH Bespoke Joinery Products
Paul Philip
Paul began working with JH in 2022 and has over 40 years experience working in the industry.
In previous roles he worked as a pattern maker for David Browns and Rolls Royce, has travelled around Europe fitting high-quality bespoke bars and reception desks, and has worked in large workshops making furniture, windows and doors. He has a particular interest in complex joinery and enjoys making intricate pieces featuring curves and odd shapes.
He also has over 10 years experience in education, having taught joinery at Kirklees College, and has seen hundreds of apprentices through their qualifications!
In his free time Paul enjoys spending time outdoors cycling and walking. He’s always up for a challenge and has previously completed the 240-mile Pennine Way walk for charity!
Max Horrocks

Max Horrocks
Max joined JH as an apprentice in 2016. He passed his NVQ level 3 in Advanced Carpentry and Joinery in 2021, and spent time working on site before shifting his focus to bench joinery. He is now an integral part of the JH Bespoke Joinery Products team alongside Paul.
When they’re not all at work, Max enjoys staying active with his brothers Jordan and Milo. This can include anything from yoga, running and cycling to hiking, rock climbing and even wild cold water exposure!
Jordan Pearman
Mason
Jordan Pearman
Jordan joined JH in 2024 as our mason. He has nearly 10 years of experience working on site, having worked in the trades since the age of 16. He completed his NVQ Level 3 in bricklaying in 2018 and has previously worked on residential developments and for private clients.
In his free time Jordan likes to stay active by going to the gym and kick-boxing training, and going for walks in the countryside.
Josh Kennett

Josh Kennett
Josh joined us in 2023 after a period of time in the military. He has successfully completed his NVQ level 2 in site joinery and carpentry, with the aim of fully qualifying in 2025.
In his free time Josh enjoys playing football, supporting his local team, Huddersfield Town, and walking in the great outdoors.
George Gilfillan

George joined JH in 2020, he is one of our Site Joiners and a great asset to our team, having recently passed his Apprenticeship in Advanced Carpentry and Joinery Level 3.
When he’s not at work, George likes to keep active, playing 5 a side football and going to his local gym.
Charlie Johnson

Charlie Johnson
Working directly with Ben, as our Apprentice Joiner, Charlie is due to complete his training this year, as he continues to develop and progress within our joinery team.
An ex-rugby player for Cleckheaton, Charlie still has a passion for the sport, although he’s more likely to watch rather than play now, following in his Grandad’s footsteps and supporting his team, Wales.

Ted Pollard
Ted joined our team as an Apprentice Mason in 2022 and is due to complete his bricklaying and building apprenticeship next year.
When he’s not working or studying at College, Ted loves to go on his road bike or go to the cinema to watch a film.
Harry Parkes

Harry Parkes
Harry is the most recent addition to our team, joining as an Apprentice Mason in 2024 after previously studying business at college.
