Bespoke Timber-framed Conservatory, Golcar
To replace the existing timber-framed conservatory, windows, and external timber door on a Grade II listed cottage in Golcar, Huddersfield.
Our Approach
For this project on a Grade II listed cottage, our JH Bespoke Joinery team meticulously recreated the original timber-frame design to ensure complete authenticity.
A new frame was handcrafted in our workshop using durable Sapele hardwood, finished with a premium exterior-grade paint in the client’s choice of colour, guaranteeing both elegance and long-term protection. This then carefully installed to the existing stone base.
Additionally, we renovated the existing first-floor windows, replacing the rotting frames with new like-for-like sashes and glazing.
To complete the installation, we produced a bespoke timber door that matched the style of the existing stable door, and supplied and installed traditional hardware in-keeping with the property’s historic character.
The Result
A beautifully restored timber-framed feature that enhances and complements the historic character of the property.
